Currently: January Edition

Last week, Lisa posted this, and I thought it would be a good way to ease into the week.

Reading: Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Nancy Horan. So far I'm enjoying this novel. The last half of 2013 I struggled to find anything that I loved and enjoyed reading so I'm hoping that changes this year.

Loving: Connecting with far away friends a lot more -- phone calls, video chats, text messages. Its been fantastic.

Thinking: About warmer days. I try not to complain about the weather, but this month has been down right frigid, with the windchill, its been below zero. Later this week, its going to feel like -35. That's just bone chilling cold.

Feeling: The Sunday evening blahs. I have a huge work project I've been working on for the past few weeks and its a bit mind numbing. Its a busy time of year so the days are definitely going fast.

Anticipating:  Enjoying this year with a clear head. Last year after my stepdad passed away, I feel like I spent a great deal of time in a heavy fog, floating through the days and not really paying attention to what was going on around me. There was grieving which gave way to some anxiety. Already I'm feeling much more focused and less anxious.

Inspired by: Meaningful conversations with mentors.

Watching: I just finished watching Downton Abbey. I binge watched the first three seasons during the holidays. I'm officially hooked.  I also spent the better part of yesterday finishing up the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have no idea why it took me so long, but I was completely surprised by how much I truly enjoyed the movies.

Sad: About how the year has started off for a few of my friends.

Working: On making some changes to life. I tend to hold on to things for a long time both physically and emotionally. Time do do some cleaning, rearranging, and re-evaluating.

Grateful: For my brother and his snow plow/4 wheeler. This weekend left us buried in snow. The weatherman called for 1-2 inches. It was more like 8-9. My brother spent the better part of the day clearing our hill and driveway.

Listening: A lot of folk and bluegrass music -- Old Crow Medicine Show, The Spring Standards, and The Steel Wheels.

Wishing: I had an unlimited amount of money to travel all the places I'd like to go.

What are you inspired by and listening to these days?
