I chose and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken; the choosing was not. You have to move on.
~Stephen Sondheim

Over the weekend, while perusing Netflix, I came across a program about Stephen Sondheim that included a compilation of his best known works. Bernadette Peters sang the song "Move On" from the play Sunday in the Park with George. The song resonated with me immediately. A dear friend sent me the lyrics shortly after moving to GA, when I needed a reminder that choosing to take a leap was a beautiful thing. However, this weekend I really heard them.

My attitude has changed a bit this weekend and I'm feeling a bit more optimistic. I've had a few responses back all the resumes I've been sending out. I had a phone interview with a university close to home. Whatever happens it was enough to lift my spirits for a while.

The past few months have been hard and my emotions have been all over the board. I'm working on taking care of those, hoping that they level out soon. The lyrics from Stephen Sondheim reminded me that even though sometimes I'll make the wrong decision, choosing and moving on is what really matters.
