Lasting Impressions 10

(Today's Lasting Impressions post was written by the charming Melanie from Live, Laugh, Love. If anyone would like to contribute to the series please let me know via email.)

Hello everyone! I’m Melanie from Live, Laugh, Love and I’m so excited to be writing today. I have enjoyed reading all the Lasting Impression posts and I hope that you enjoy mine!

“Friendship is a million little things…”

The quote above is one that I love because it reminds me that little things turn into the bigger picture of friendships.

As I get ready to graduate college in a month, I look back and think about all the little things that I did while I was in college, and about the friendships that I’ve made. Some quickly came and went, and some will last forever.

I consider myself to have 5 best friends. All of them are different friendships, but we have become best friends because of the little things that we do together.

The little things in my friendships that turn into the bigger picture include: the heart to hearts, the movies, the shopping trips, girls night out, eating out, beach trips, random outings, text messages, face-book wall posts, pictures, crying with each other, talking about boys, staying up doing nothing together, and the list goes on.

I am going to miss being able to do the little things with the frienships that I leave at school, but I also look forward to having to find more little things such as weekly phone calls and random road trips to keep the friendships alive.

What are the little things that make up your friendships?

I love that quote. Friendship IS a million little things... history, inside jokes, someone in your corner, someone to lean on. What would we do without our besties? :-)

Best friends never cease to amaze me.
We have been in the USA for 10 years and my BFF from Scotland has not once missed Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversary cards and gifts for all 5 of us! We only talk on the phone once a YEAR...

great post.

One of the little things that makes some of my friendships: being able to call each other and still finish each others sentences after a few weeks of not talking; sending random notes to each other; planning trips to visit one another; wine, cheese and Sex and the City nights; and like you said, staying up and doing absolutely nothing.

One of the reasons my BFF is my BFF is that she's got WAY TOO much "ammo" on me---and I do on her!!!! JK
We stick together because we have shared the highs and stuck right by each other through all the lows.....There is no one else I would rather have sitting next to me on this roller coaster ride of life!!!!

I love my biddies. My support
system. The ones who tell me
I'm making (or made) a poor life
decision...but back me up anyway. The ones who understand without having
to explain.

Holllla to bff's.
