My friendships make up one of the most important aspects of my life. Along the way new friends have been made and others have faded into the past. Yet, all of them have touched my life in some way. I have numerous memories from my childhood of eating red hots until our mouths had burns with one friend and roller skating through a church in the middle of the night with another. You’ve read about my college friends, friends that I can be completely goofy with, friends I’ve tried to reconcile with and what happened when a friendship ended. I’ve been thinking a lot about my friendships lately – the ones I can count on unconditionally, the friendships that have helped me grow and learn, the friendships that are no longer. Every single person I have ever called my friend has made a lasting impression on my life. Some were only in my life a short time; others have been with me for years. Some friends I have known since grade schools, others I have never met, and regardless they are my friends.
I’d like to hear about your friendships. What made them stronger, what ended them? How do you celebrate your friendships? What are your favorite memories from childhood friendships? How do you define friendship? How do you deal with hard friendships? Simply anything you want to talk about regarding friendships. What do you think? I would like to start a series (I’m thinking of calling it Lasting Impressions) that will be posted every Friday with your stories. Friends are something that we all have and we’ve all dealt with. A few of you have already volunteered, please send me your email addresses, leave me a comment, or send me your posts and I will schedule a Friday post for you or let you know when I would need your post. Please spread the word and hopefully after several weeks we will have a successful series.

I want to participate! I don't have a post yet, but this sounds like a fun project!
(My email comes with my comment, right? Or do you need me to send it separately?)
Brandy -- Your comment is just fine! I can't wait! I'll email you later this weekend with a date. :-)
Hmmm, interesting...I'll have to think of one, but you can count me in on this lil project of yours.
Sounds great! Count me in please!
Count me in too! =) Hope you are having a fabulous wknd!
I'm in! I'll email you...
Alex is coming to ET with me as well, so it will just be the 2 other karate instructors, Mike and Cheryl, running the class. Makes me a little nervous as they aren't all taht good with kids, so I am going to call my sister and see if she can come! The little ones can really only last in the karate lesson for 20 minutes or so (they are only 3 and 4!) so they do need someone to entertain them and play with them after (which I usually do!)
Well, I don't think I'm out of place by telling you AGAIN I'd love to participate.
Definitely count me in!
I recently posted on this topic too as I think friends make up the better part of my existence...they mean so much to me and tell so much about me...there are definitely friends for all seasons and for that I am grateful!
I'm in! Sounds fun!

hey mandy, you know i'd love to play -- sorry it took me so stinkin' long to comment, i'm JUST getting caught up on blogs. gah.
I'm so excited to have found this. I too am fascinated by friendship. Having moved to a new city (three years) ago, to be with my now-husband, I suddenly realized how hard it is to make new friends as an adult. And how lucky I am to have the BFFs I do. My blog is actually about my search for a new BFF in my new city and thought you might be interested : http://mwfseekingbff.com/
If you're looking for posters still, I'd love to chime in anytime...
So glad to have found your blog!
Rachel
