And The Winner Is.....

The winner of Marlo Thomas' book The Right Words, At The Right Time is

Little Fish

THANK YOU to all of you who participated in the Charity Challenge. I loved reading about your favorite charities. I especially loved seeing the various ways you give back, the ways you give your time, talents, and donations. Each of you continue to inspire me to want to do more to give back. If you haven't already done so, please take a few minutes and read the stories on the sidebar.

Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. ~Author Unknown

I wanted to post about the Charity Challenge not only as a hope to get other bloggers involved, but also as a way to challenge myself to do more, to be more. I am hoping that the Charity Challenge can be an annual event each year . The most important aspect of the Charity Challenge was to do something and get involved; please remember that can be done year round, not just during the holidays. You never know when you may be making a difference.

I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. ~William Penn

Well, I still get the consolation prize of a drunken comment.

I wasn't the only one to get one? Bummer.

Happy New Year!

While I probably should give to more charities than I do I think one of the best charities that I give my most time to, isn't a charity. Besides myself, my other number one priority in my life is my family and friends. Whenever they are in need I am always there for them. I also spend a lot of time with my grandparents to cheer them up and to keep them on their toes.
