Sweet Summertime

I am having a hard time digesting the fact that its halfway thru summer! Where does time go? I absolutely love summer! The warm weather, cookouts with friends, concerts,being outside.....there is just so much to enjoy and look forward to (which is basically how I feel about each season, except maybe winter). Chickbug discussed today returning back to reality after being on vacation.

I think for me, the entire summer is like a vacation. I am fortunate to have had and still have several long weekends with lots of things to do. I go to work, do what I need to do, but for the most part LIVE for the weekends and fun times with my family and friends.

Things left to do this summer:

* Cookout/Brother's birthday bash in Columbus

* J A M B O R E E in the H I L L S

* Italian Festival

* Toby Keith concert

* Weekend in Pittsburgh

I am super excited about all the weekends and fun left to be had this summer. Seeing friends that I haven't seen in ages, random spur of the moment trips yet to be taken, tried and true events that happen without fail every single year. Before I know it, students will be back to the university, leaves will be changing and I'll be sporting my buckeye necklace.

What are your plans for the second half of summer?

This is like the "you see the glass half empty or half filled?". In my case, I still have 9 weeks of vacation, so I'm still good to go.

The rest of my summer is spent planning Diana's b-day party. Her birthday falls on Labor day weekend so it will be a kind of end of the summer bash!

Andy--9 weeks of summer left, I'm jealous!

Chickbug--glad that the transition was easier than anticipated. :-)

Rachel--end of summer/birthday party bashes are the best!!

I'm always depressed after coming home from a vacation. My family actually reminds me and prepares me for homecoming. It's pretty sad, but after a couple of weeks, I'm planning the next one!

Yeah I can't believe it's actually now after the 4th of July. Crazy. Well the second half for me is pretty busy with trips parties and closing the summer with my birthday. That I'm only half looking forward to.

Ehhhh...I work all summer, and I go to bed at 9:30 on the weekends 'cause I'm extra lame. Sometimes I go outside. But there's no air conditioning out there, so I don't stay for long.
