City Boy in Da' House

My stepsister Karen is in for the weekend, with her she brought her boyfriend and her boyfriends adorable black lab. Now, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when meeting the boyfriend. He is really nice, but he is a total city boy. They live in DC and Boyfriend has lived in the city his whole life. It was the middle of the night when they came in. We were all standing out in our front yard saying hi, letting the dogs play, etc.

We have a decorative pond in our front yard that has several dozen goldfish, a few toads and some frogs. Last night, the frogs were croaking. Karen says "Awww, I forgot about the frogs." To which Boyfriend says "Frogs? I thought those were ducks."

Its going to be a fun weekend. First lesson of the weekend....frogs croak, ducks quack....

Haha, that's cute. I am definitely NOT a city person!!! As soon as I am out of school I am moving to the middle of nowhere.

And yes... I was a bit nervous about the snake at first (and Caitie was really nervous!!) Especially when she said, Oh don't worry, he's not hungry... we fed him on monday (it was saturday!!)

*waves* Heya! I saw you came by my blog(first visitor, you're awesome!) so I am repaying the favor. I clearly have a lot to catch up on, but I'm working on it! Loving your meme!

I thought I was a country girl until I lived in the country, now I know I am completely a city girl.

Nikki -- living out in the middle of no where would be great, but not too far from the mall. :-)

The One -- thanks for stopping by!

Rachel -- whats funny is that we live in town, not in the middle of the country.

I love that! I grew up in a smaller town but now live in Chicago. Two of the things I love most about going back home are the crickets and fireflies. We don't see/hear them as much back in town. As for the frog/duck confusion the best "city-based" analogy I can provide is our occasional debate over "fireworks or gunfire?" (I WISH that were a joke too).
